Clear Or Color?

We have been debating what the ratio of people who prefer some color or art on their boards to those who just want a clean looking white board.  Please let us know what your preference is so that we may have some sort of an answer to this debate.

Pray For Surf

For the last month or so there has been a serious lack of surf in Southern California.   So to deal with there frustrations the staff has turned to making prison shanks as a healthy alternative to surfing.  If we don't get surf soon I fear we might have a riot on our hands.

Life In Technicolor

This is Chandler's new epoxy round tail Moonraker.  It's a remake of his last board only this time we made it an epoxy and turned the volume on that airbrush up to 11.

Here is another good looking Moonraker with carbon tail patches.  We have been really happy with the way these boards have been coming out and all the good feedback we have been getting.   This one belongs to Bryston.

Fun Fun Fun

Brian came by today to pick up his new stick.   This board looked really fun and after it was shaped I decided I needed one too.

James Adds Some Flair To His New Vega

James Newman came by the shop to pick up his new board and he brought with him some rattle cans and a paintbrush.   We let him loose in our spray booth and here is what he came up with.

4.75 lbs!

This is a board for James Newman of the Newport Harbor surf team.  He said he wanted the lightest board possible and here is what he got, a 4.75 lbs. surfboard.

Johnny and his new 8'0''

Johnny stopped by the shop to pick up his new custom 8'0".  He just returned from two week in Hawaii and now he has a new Vega.  Life seems to be going pretty good for Johnny.

New Moonraker In Stock

Here is a new Moonraker we made for our stock. This model has been getting a lot of good feed back and  has been our best seller of the last year.  It is designed a little shorter and wider than your normal shortboard.  This board is 5'9''  x  18 7/8"  x  2 5/16" and is now available for purchase at our show room.

Ron Visits Hewes Surf Club

Last week Ron visited Hewes Surf Club to give short demonstration on surfboard construction and ding repair.   Thanks to every one that was involved in making this happen.
